Dan Russell

Dan Russell is one of the founding members of Sea Tea Improv in Hartford, CT. He's an East Hartford, CT native and lifelong Nutmegger with a BA in Political Science from UConn and an MS in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After taking his first improv class in 2008, Dan took improv workshops around CT, and improv classes with Hartford Stage. Dan has taken workshops with Matt Besser, Will Hines, Ali Farahnakian, Nate Dern, Kevin Mullaney, and Terry Withers. Dan completed the Upright Citizens Brigade's core improv courses and was accepted into their Advanced Study Improv program. Dan's instructors at UCB were Shannon O'Neill, Neil Casey, Gavin Speiller, Kevin Hines, Anthony Atamanuik, and Lydia Hensler. Dan has performed in hundreds of improv comedy shows in and around CT, including performances in NYC, Providence, Portland, Baltimore, LA, and Washington, DC. In November 2014, Dan co-starred as Bud Davenport in Sea Tea Improv's production of GUTENBERG! THE MUSICAL! Dan lives with his wife, son, and dog in Farmington, CT. He does internet marketing for a state college and plays amateur wooden bat baseball.
